Seems as I can not contact other members nor dee the member details.

Q: I can not contact other members and don't see details about them - why ?

A: In order to contact other members and see the entire profile, you need to register as a Free Member first (Register Here for Free).

This does not cost you anything and you will have full access to most of the main site features.

Once you have registered as a Free Member you can use the "wink" feature to let other cabinmatch members know that you would like to know more about them, or you can use our integrated Instant Messaging feature to connect other members that are online at the same time as you are. As a Free Member you also can post your own profile with 1 photo that we include in our database search results so other members can see your profile and photo. Free members have also access to our CabinMatch forum with the "members to member deals"

However, if you want to contact other members via our anonymous email system and tell them more about yourself in detail, you will need to upgrade your membership to a Premium level.

How can I post my profile and photo ?

Q: How can I post my personal profile with photo so other members can find and contact me?

A: First of all you ned to register either as a Free Member here. Once you have registered, please return to the Member Login page and log in with your username and password.
Then click on "Edit Profile" in the left navigation menue.

Now you can browse through the different sections like "My Info", "More About Me", "My Cruise profile", "Join My Cruise" and "Share A Cabin" and answer all the questions and post information about yourself. Add as much information as possible since we have found that it is more likely to be contacted be other members if you let them knwo as much as possible about you upfront..

Do add a photo to your profile you need a photo on your computer. Click on "Manage Photo" in the left navigation bar after you logged in and then click on 'bwrose" to locate your photo on your computer. Then click on "upload photo". This ads the chosen photo to your profile in our search listings. Please see our Terms, absolutely NO ADULT PHOTOS ARE ALLOWED !

Find a member by username

Q: How Can I find a another member by his/her username ?

A: Once you have registered as a Free Member (register here free), log in your account with your username and password and the click on 'search" in the left navaigation bar. On the new search page that opens, please fill in the cabinmatch username the the required field next to username: , then click on 'search' button to get to the members profile page.

Is there any comitment when I register for free at your site

Q: Is there any comitment, future payment or anything I have to know when I register for free?

A: No - absolutely not. For a Free Membership, we do not ask you for any payment information nor will you be required to pay anything at any time. Free is Free and for 365 days non stop. Means your Free Membership expires after 1 year and not one day earlier.

At any time you may cancel your free membership. Log in with your username and password and then click on 'cancel membership' in the left navigation bar. Thats it - this deletes you completly from our database.

A: The first step you could take is to sign up as Free Member here at CabinMatch, then post your profile where you checkmark that you only look for someone to join on a cruise bvut with seperate cabins.
Then you should search our database with the search function in your member panel. You will find plenty of cruisers who want to be in their own cabin but still meet amnd save through other cabinmatch members.

Once you logged in, visit the forum (click on forum in your left navaigation bar).
The forum category "Member Deals" may help you to find some real good deals that other cabinmatch members have already found and checked out.

Yes - some small amount of cruise lines now add less than 25 percent to the per person rate for singles occupying a double cabin for certain cruises. These include: Crystal, Norwegian Coastal Voyages, Regent Seven Seas, Riverbarge, Royal Caribbean, Seabourn, and Silversea. Seabourn and Swan Hellenic have only a 10 percent surcharge on higher category cabins. Since some of the upscale lines are those offering price breaks to solo cruisers, you may be able to afford a luxury ship rather than a mass market ship with a heavy supplement.

Keep tabs on the latest solo "sales." Many cruise lines offer price breaks on occasion, depending on the season and on how many cabins are booked on individual ships. These offerings can change from week to week. At press time, for example, Swan Hellenic and Discovery are among those who were waiving the single supplement entirely on selected itineraries. Crystal was offering just a 10 percent surcharge for sole occupancy of staterooms in outside cabins in categories A-E on the Crystal Symphony on some South America cruises between Fort Lauderdale and Buenos Aires . Silversea has lowered its surcharge to 10 percent on selected sailings from September to December. Norwegian Coastal Voyage has eliminated the single supplement on many of their ships. These deals may or may not be available still -- but the point is that they are offered and you have to look for them.

A: Sharing a cabin with a stranger may not appeal to everyone - we know this. But it does mean big savings. Fewer lines are offering roommate matching services than in the past, but Holland America, Princess and Swan Hellenic will try to fill these requests. You ask to be paired with a roommate when you book, and if the line can match you with another solo passenger of your sex, you will pay no extra supplement. However, if no match is available, the supplement still applies.

The problem is that the cruise lines that offer to match you up, are mainly interested in selling a particular cruise. But we believe that Sharing a cruise cabin is more than just having dinner with someone and sharing a stateroom can even possibly ruin the best and most exciting cruise.
Thus, We do not sell you cruises nor are we interested where and when you buy your cruise. We care about matching you up with compatible and nice people, thus we have designed this website and service in particular on recorded cruise lifestyles and integrated this experience in our profile questionaieries.

However, once you have booked your cruise and then find out you do not match with your assigned cabin mate, it is too late to cancel and get any refunds.

AimHigherTravel.com (877-752-1858), which now handles the singles cruises of its sister company, Majestic Sun Tours, continues the Majestic policy of guaranteed shares.
If you book 65 days in advance and request a roommate, you will pay no supplement even if they are unable to find someone to share.

Osolomio.com (800-959-8568) is another large singles tour specialist with cruises among its offerings. The Golden Age Travelers Club (800-258-8880) organizes cruises for seniors, and promises discounts on fares.

Windjammer Barefoot Cruises is one of the few lines to offer singles-designated cruises.

However still keep in mind, all above services are rather a cruise selling agency than a matching service. All of them want to sell you a cruise and therefor is not comparible with VCabinMatch and our philosophy and priorities.

A: The obvious difference is that Premium members can contact other cabinmatch members through our anonymous email system. Free members may only "wink" with a given text template to let other members know that they want to know more about them. Thus, if you are Free Member and you are contacted buy another member, you will not be able to answer unless you upgrade to a Premium membership. To upgrade please log in your account with your username and password and click on Upgrade Membership.

There are different Premium membership levels, the differ only in the membership duration.

Upload Photos

Q: I have photos that seem not work to upload. Can I email them to you and you re-size and upload them to my listing ?

A: It is actually very easy to upload pictures and photos. Since we offer currently a free service we have limited the size for each photo of 400. Any larger size will not work to upload.

Most digital cameras let you limit the files size for a photo you take, thus apply the proper settings to the maximum size.
Do not worry about pixel size as our system automatically thumbnail your photo before it will be displayed.

Add or Change Photos

Q: How do I add photos to my listing?

A: If you would like photos posted with your profile, simply login and click on Manage Pictures. There you can select the photos from your local computer you wish to upload and apply to your profile. You can change the photos any time you wish, as often as you wish as long you honor the maximum size allowed per photo. Please remember that our system allows only a maximum size of 400 per photo to upload.

Free Members may upload maximum 1 photo.

Premium Member may upload up to 50 photos and even create privacy protected albums that so only certain, by you authorized cabinmatch members, can see them.

I can't upload my photos

Q: I can not upload my photos, I always get an error message - why ?

A: Currently our system accepts only photos with a max. size of 400 KB.

If you try to upload larger photos you will get an error message.
Please reduce the size of your photo(s) to a max. of 400 and you should have no problem to get your photo(s) online.

Photos from another website

Q: Can I copy photos from another website to post on my listing?

A: Many other sites copyright your photos once you add them to your listing and thus they cannot be legally uploaded to our site without permission. You must obtain permission from the other site before uploading your photos to your listing.

Q: Another owner copied my photo(s) and put them on their listing, what can I do?

A: Since we do not copyright your photos, there isn't anything we can do to help. We recommend you ask the owner to remove your photos in a non-threatening manner. If they refuse, we will co-operate as required by any legal proceeding.

Verifying payments

Q: How will I know when my payment is processed?

A: By Check: If you pay by check or money order, please allow at least 2 weeks from the time it is mailed before it is processed. Please do not contact us to inquire if payment has been received within these 3 weeks. A notification by email is sent after each payment is processed. If you do not receive an email from us after 3 weeks, please contact us about the payment.

By Credit Card or PayPal: If you pay by credit card or Paypal your payment is usually processed immediately, but may take up to 24 hours. To find out if your payment has been processed please log in (using login at the top of this screen) and check the status of "Manage listings". If you are able to list a new property, your payment has been processed. You may need to log out and log back in to see the changes, after you paid through Paypal.

Q: I received a suspicious email, what do I do?
